Volunteer Roles Available

Volunteer Requirements​

At Community Grapevines, Inc., our volunteers play a vital role in supporting individuals, families, and communities. To ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone we serve, we ask all volunteers meet the following guidelines:

Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (some youth opportunities may be available with parental consent)

  • Must share and uphold the mission, values, and standards of Community Grapevines

Application & Screening

  • Completion of a Volunteer Application

  • Participation in a brief interview or orientation

  • Background check may be required depending on the role (especially for work with youth, seniors, or returning citizens)

  • Submission of references, if requested

Training & Orientation

  • Attendance at a mandatory volunteer orientation

  • Completion of any role-specific training

  • Agreement to follow all organizational policies and procedures

Commitment & Conduct

  • Ability to commit to agreed-upon schedules or program timelines

  • Maintain professional, respectful, and non-judgmental behavior

  • Uphold confidentiality and respect the privacy of participants

  • Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and clear communication

Additional Requirements (Role-Dependent)

Some volunteer roles may also require:

  • Valid government-issued ID

  • Proof of relevant certifications or experience

  • Participation in ongoing training or supervision

Community Grapevines has supported over 200 individuals and families through education, wellness, youth development, senior engagement, and reentry-focused programs.
